[edit] Hog Mothers Creation Ritual

Baconers maintain that the Great Hog Mother brought forth creation from the "Holy of Holies" galactic Mother Belly. To symbolize the great sacrifice the Baconist is called for once every 113.5 days (average gestation period of a pig) from their conversion to The Holy Church of Bacon to go forth and collect a full pork belly and consume it with fellow Baconers and non Baconers alike. Although this ancient practice has somewhat seen a decline, in recent years some Baconists have organized Bacon Day to bring back awareness of one of our cultures most treasured rituals.

It is believed that this ritual began as a way for Baconist communities to ensure that everyday there was free bacon. The idea was that as more people converted to the Baconists religion the more likely that each day you woke up was someone elses "Hog Mothers Creation Ritual" day hence forth you got free bacon.
